Loved it! Thank you!!! from Katie Along with this came photos which I will share on my Blog.
Dear Esther, Our family truly enjoy our stay at the old farmhouse. we are avid butterfly enthusiasts and saw several large beautiful butterflies. The hay fields are very high so we could not explore too much, but we enjoyed the peace and quiet. We explored gem mining, and we all had a great day. We also joined in the town square pickin' and grinnin'-very nice day. Your house was a great fit for our family. Our three girls loved to explore everything new to them. Thanks to Jerry and Julie for making sure we had a light on! Best to You! Matt, Shari, and girls Dear Esther, Julie, and Jerry, Thank you for a wonderful experience. The farmhouse was a great place to come "home" to every day. We especially enjoyed the front porch, the lightening bugs, the deer, and the great hiding spots for hide-and-go-seek! :) This has been the most relaxing three days our family has had in some time, especially with no phones, TV's, radios. That was heaven!! DON'T CHANGE ONE THING! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE STAY, Mark, Dot, and Aubrey Florida We saw baby birds. Maleah (The baby birds are Carolina wrens. They come to nest annually.--Esther) Thanks for sharing your home with us. we loved it! Bobby, Lana & Maleah North Carolina LOVE THIS PLACE! DON'T CHANGE A THING! :) We turned off the cell phone and the TV the entire time. This place has a stillness about it that is hard to find at other places. Plenty to do and explore the surrounding areas. Good places to eat. Stamey's, Sunset, and the Cupboard are all good. If you are still enough, you can imagine families growing up here. Thanks for such a nice treat! Joe and Bobbi, Georgia We came back after a couple of weeks for a quiet birthday visit. Thanks for getting us in on short notice. Thank you Joe and Bobbi Esther, Thank you so much for sharing this BEAUTIFUL home. My family enjoyed every day of our stay. Thanks, Flora, Ethan, Alex, Emagene and Kala Esther's comments on her Dobson Farm memories "Aunt Ida had a pet Jersey milk cow named Brownie. She milked Brownie daily. We had the best milk. She had a big garden beside the house and canned many different kinds of vegetables and fruits. She made the best apple pie and pound cake. I can still imagine the smell of her pound cake when I would walk into the house. She sewed little sundresses for me and saved the scraps to make me a Flower Garden quilt.
